We aim to provide an efficient, consultative service that has been put together based on a tried and tested process and a strong understanding of you. The knowledge of our markets means our team always have their finger on the pulse of what’s happening in your world.

 

Our proactive search process means we don’t rely on advertising or CV libraries and we don’t have quantitative KPIs to hit. We spend our time identifying, attracting and assessing the best talent.


Rise brings together experience, recruiting across a broad number of functions within our chosen sectors, we recruit for a select client base making sure everyone receives the service they deserve.

Adele Hindley

Adele has worked in recruitment for over 16 years across a broad range of roles resourcing, consultant, project management and operations. She is responsible for resourcing assignments and operations projects here at Rise.

Adele lives in Manchester with her husband and 2 kids, the latter has fuelled her strong coffee addiction! She also enjoys an occasional glass of prosecco and has a penchant for anything animal print!

Annabel Flanagan

Annabel is a first class graduate from Manchester Met in Buying and Merchandising, after a successful 2 years in retail buying she made the move over to recruitment. She is now applying her commercial skills in the world of recruitment passing on her knowledge and experience to her candidates. Annabel works on commercial / product roles including buying, merchandising, supply and category with Rise’s excellent clients.

Annabel is an avid music fan particularly House / Techno and is fully immersed in the dance music scene, which sees her getting roped into creating content for her DJ mates. She’s travels across Europe to the best events, recent hot spots include Ibiza, Amsterdam and Liverpool!

Chris Jones

Chris has been bringing great candidates to many of the best brands in the consumer and retail sector since 2002. Having worked in London, Birmingham and Manchester he’s built an impressive network. Chris and Shaun lead Rise on a day to day basis and are responsible for the long-term master plan. A big focus for Chris is continuing to recruit a stellar team and he is always keen to speak to great people about working at Rise.

Chris lives in Sheffield with his wife and two self-proclaimed ‘annoying sons’. He’s a big fan of sun holidays, running, old cars, trainers, city breaks, pistachio ice cream and 90s house / indie music.

Colin Leach

Colin has over 10 years’ experience as a specialist in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics and Manufacturing Operations recruitment with a track record of delivering projects across a wide range of industries. His impressive list of LinkedIn recommendations demonstrate his consultative approach, industry knowledge and high service levels that he continually delivers to clients and candidates.

With two young boys keeping him very busy at home he enjoys anything sports, fitness or public house based away from work. Having previously relocated to the North West from Devon in 2016 Colin is unsurprisingly the only Exeter City fan on the team at Rise!

Liam Flynn

Liam has been with Rise for 5 years, progressing from trainee to Business Manager. He applies his consultative approach to food, FMCG and merchandising, in the UK and internationally. Having built up great relationships with numerous UK and international retailers, Liam has progressed quickly to become a key part of the Rise team.

Liam has lived in some of the UK’s biggest cities; Birmingham, Sheffield and Manchester and has now swapped city life for the good life in the Herefordshire countryside. He is currently renovating a country home with his fiancée and the able assistance of his toddler son Bobby.

Michelle Wolstenholme

Michelle works with numerous high street retailers across homeware and fashion, with over 7 years’ experience in both UK and International recruitment. Due to a good stint in merchandising, Michelle’s candidate assessment skills are second to none. You can count on Michelle to offer support and guidance, for both clients and candidate, throughout the whole recruitment process.

Michelle is a sporadic fitness fanatic and her family keep her active, they enjoy camping trips to Anglesey and many outdoor family pursuits. Michelle also enjoys spending time with friends and can be found frequenting Manchester’s hot spots.

Nicole Devine

Nicole has over 5 years’ experience recruiting within the retail sector having done so in London and Manchester and now works with companies nationwide. She began her career in retail buying before moving over to recruit for the sector in 2014. Nicole joined Rise is October 2021 and specialises in buying, ecommerce, merchandising and supply chain.

As well as being a mum of 2 young girls, Nicole likes to spend her time keeping fit and healthy by walking, swimming and going to gym & yoga classes. In her rare free time, she enjoys catching up with friends for lunch or a music gig!

Paul Riordan

Paul is highly experienced in retail, FMCG, and supply chain recruitment. He has been working in the industry for 20 years’ and successfully competed assignments in buying, national accounts, procurement, supply chain, merchandising, space planning, product and category management. Paul prides himself on his personal touch and has built up a network to be envious of, with thousands of connections.

Keeping fit and active is a must for Paul, playing rugby and representing the North West for touch rugby. We’ve also just found out he was once in a band and we’re very keen to found out more!

Pav Nijjar

Pav started her career with a renowned retail group, she then moved onto larger buying roles with successful fast fashion retailers. After 5 years progressing through the ranks of buying and product development Pav was keen to use her skills in a new setting. She is now applying her commercial knowledge of retail and fashion to bring together the best talent with great businesses.

Outside of work, Pav loves to spend time with her friends and family. She is also an avid traveller, having visited Miami and Ibiza recently, where next? She’s known to enjoy a glass of wine on a sunny beach!

Shaun Mudalige

Shaun specialises in direct search within retail and consumer markets, with a strong focus on food and FMCG. Shaun has led high performing teams throughout his career, with excellent service leading to many of his accounts partnering with Rise on an exclusive basis. Co-founding Rise in 2013 Shaun has enjoyed growing our reach across our sectors.

As the number one Sri Lankan golfer at Knutsford Golf Club, Shaun is a big sports fan and can often be found on the North Wales coast with his young family.

Stephen Smith

Stephen is originally from the North East and has been recruiting for head office roles in retail since 2014. He studied Retail Management and Buying at university and has worked in a buying role for an international retailer. Stephen recruits across general merchandise, homeware, and niche retail roles with a focus on senior appointments and as an Associate Member of the CIPD also offers an enhanced HR-driven service to our founder-led SME clients. He takes genuine pride in delivering everyone a first-class service and has an authenticity that sees the same people coming back to him time and time again

The creative of the team, Stephen always has a DIY or arty project on the go and loves to cook and get inventive in the kitchen – regularly bringing in plenty of treats for the office.
